3 Things about me…….

I used to practise Karate when I was younger and I got to a purple belt (I think, we are talking about 18 years ago!). I actually really enjoyed it.

I’ve had bunion surgery on both of my feet. It was when I was 15 years. Not something that happens often at such a young age but mine were really bad. I was also told not to wear heels because of the surgery, something that I ignored and am now starting to regret!

I do not eat cheese. It made me unwell once and I stopped eating it. I have tried it since but just do not enjoy the taste of it. I will order pizza without cheese which always gets some odd looks!

5 Questions From JakiJellz

What was the first record/cd you ever bought and how old were you?

The first CD that I bought was “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble” by PJ and Duncan. I would have been 10 and got it with my pocket money. Probably from Woolworths or Andy’s Records. I feel so old!! (I bought the album again when they re-released it!)

What did you want to be when you grew up?

This would depend on how old I was at it changed. It ranged from a model (I was a very confident child who loved the camera) to a hairdresser. When I was at High School I wanted to study law. I didn’t do any of these!

Which film or tv character is most like you and why?

Wow Jaki this is a hard one!
I wish I could pick some interesting, sassy woman who had her shit together but that isn’t me! I would say either Belle from Beauty and the Beast, because I love reading and used to always have my head stuck in a book as well as being a bit of a hopeless romantic. Or, Molly Weasley from Harry Potter because I am pretty quiet and laid back but mess with my family, and more importantly my kids and I’m gonna go a bit crazy!

If you were one of the three wise monkeys, which would you be and why? Hear no evil, see no evil, or speak no evil? (That’s the weird question)

I love the meaning behind the three wise monkeys and what it stands for. I would pick “speak no evil”. For a couple of reasons. One being not speaking evil means that I am not upsetting people, they do not have to hear any evil. However, if you go with the actual meaning behind the wise monkeys, to speak no evil is the result of not having been affected by the first two anyway. If you speak no evil it is because you have not seen evil, or heard evil. You are pure. I think that’s a nice thought.

What’s for dinner tonight?

Tonight was curry night!

Best childhood memory?

I have so many lovely memories of my childhood. One that I always love talking about is when all of my family on my Mum’s side had a picnic together. My grandparents, my two aunts, two uncles, cousins, my parents, the dogs. It was great. We played together and ate together. I remember us doing the “Grandpa” dance. We were little and so waltz style dancing was classed as Grandpa dancing. It was lots of fun and the last time we were all together like that.

My Best Posts

Oooohh, tough. Best posts as in most read, or my favourite posts?
Know That You Weren’t Left Behind This was such a tough post to write, worse to live through. Seeing my baby so upset all because of when his birthday falls. It feels like only yesterday we were going through this and now we are preparing for school.
My Wonderful Waterbirth I loved writing this one. My blog has always been a way to remember events and share experiences. I loved my water birth, even though I had reservations and it was because of the relaxed environment that I was able to get through it without pain relief.
My Story; Miscarriage The most difficult post I have ever written. It has been 6 years since our first miscarriage and this was the first time that I had spoken out about it. It is one of those posts that I had to write to talk about it but getting the words out was difficult.

Phew! I made it!!

5 Questions To My Nominees

If you had the power to change one thing (and it could be anything), what would you change and why?
What is your ‘Go To’ film?
What is your biggest pet hate?
It’s the day before the end of the world, how are you spending your time? What are you doing?
If you had to replace your hands with something other than hands, what would you put at the end of your arms and why? (this is my silly question)

My Nominees

I am probably so late to the party that everyone I nominate will have probably already done one of these but here goes!
