*I was sent some Organic Shop haircare products in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
I love trying out different shampoos and conditioners. They all smell so lovely and I love seeing which ones make my hair feel the nicest. Finding one that ticks all the boxes is really hard. Good price, good quality, great ingredients. It’s tough! I was recently sent some items from the Organic Shop Haircare range to try out.
Organic Shop have recognised the demand for natural products. It is because of this they have developed their own range. They have body, face and haircare products. The haircare products are fun and fruity and they have been specially developed for Tesco.
Organic Shop pride themselves on having no ‘hidden nasties’. They are totally against animal testing AND they make sure all of their packaging is recyclable. Sounds perfect doesn’t it?!
So, the catch has to be the cost doesn’t it? Surely? Well, no. The whole range currently retails at £2.50! (correct at publish date) So, that’s great ingredients and a great price so is it lacking in the important part? Well, we gave it a try…….
Organic Shop Haircare; Coconut and Shea
It was really hard to pick which haircare scent I wanted to try. I eventually settled on Coconut and Shea. This is to help with moisturising, softness and revival of your hair. It sounded amazing, especially as I find my hair feels dry quickly.
“Inspired by tropical islands, ultra-rich Organic Coconut and Shea is a match made in heaven, blended together to nourish hair from root to tip.
Made for dry and damaged hair, organic coconut nourishes strands to leave hair lustrous and shiny, restoring damaged hair.
Organic shea provides a boost of hydration to repair split ends and smooth fizz, leaving hair rejuvenated and revived.”
I started using it straight away!
Shampoo & Conditioner
The smell of this is absolutely amazing. I’m not surprised because of the combination. I was surprised by how powerful the smell was when the ingredients are natural.
In the past when I’ve used more natural products they haven’t created the lather that you’re used to. This does. A rich and luxurious lather. The conditioner is thick and creamy and feels great going on.
My hair felt amazing after using the shampoo and conditioner. I have always been someone who washes their hair daily. This is where the shampoo and conditioner fell down for me. I think it is because of the ‘type’ that I had and using it every day. My hair became too shiny, almost greasy looking. Once I stopped using it every day, my hair was no longer greasy but I still reaped the rewards of soft hair.
For me, I think I may have been better choosing a different type. There are plenty to choose from;
Argan and Amla – nourishing, strength and striking lustre
Honey and Avocado – repairing, softness and vitality
Raspberry and Acai – volumising, strength and thickness
Pomegranate and Patchouli – invigorating, smoothness and perfection
That said, I know that when my hair is feeling dry, I can use this for a couple of days and my hair would feel great again.
This has been a hair saver since coming back from holiday! Days in the pool and the sun left my hair feel quite dry but one use of this and my hair is feeling so much better! I’ll be using this throughout the summer I am sure.
The Organic Shop are also running a fab competition to win a holiday!
The prize includes;
- A seven night** stay for two people on a half-board basis at the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba in The Bucuti Wing.
