#MyAquaphor by Eucerin
I have to admit, the Britmums #MyAquaphor Challenge was the first time I had actually heard of this item. I have no idea how or why. Sure, I had seen it on the shelf but I hadn’t taken notice of it, purely because I hadn’t really heard about it. That turned out to be a mistake.
I would assume that it is the same for many people. You see it on the shelf and disregard it. Well I would like to suggest that you stop that now!
Since using the Aquaphor I have been able to reduce how many products I carry in my bag. I would, on a normal day out, take moisturising cream, lip balm, baby wipes and nappy rash cream. Even though Jessica is out of nappies, I still carry nappy cream in case she gets a sore bottom, or if her dry skin flares up on her face. Now, I take only Aquaphor. I can use it on my hands, face, or as a lip balm. As it has only seven ingredients I am also confident that is kind enough to use on the children.
- Aquaphor is made with seven ingredients.
- Aquaphor is gentle enough to be used on highly irritated skin as well as on sensitive baby skin and also in the nappy area
- Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm creates a breathable protective barrier. This allows oxygen and water vapour to circulate to and from the skin, allowing skin to ‘breathe’ and strengthen its natural barrier function.
- The Eucerin Aquaphor formula was first introduced in the US market in 1925 and has been a household staple ever since – long trusted for its effectiveness in repairing a wide range of skin SOS cases
The cream is quite thick and so a little really does go a long way. Unlike most creams it is clear in colour rather than milky. When you put it on it starts off quite shiny, which I don’t normally like but it soaks into the skin quite quickly. I now make sure that I put it on when I have time for it to soak in fully. Once it soaks in it feel great. I absolutely love using it as a lip balm as the thickness makes it feel quite luxurious, giving smooth lips. It has been a bit of a life saver with the winter weather.
Have you tried Aquaphor? If not are you ready to try the #MyAquaphor challenge? Let me know what you think.
